Researchers’ Night 2025

For one special evening —  Researchers’ Night — science comes to life in hundreds of research institutes and universities, usually hidden from the public eye. At CERGE-EI, we invite you to step inside the historic Schebek Palace and discover the fascinating world of economics.

17:00–17:45 | Lecture by Michal Bauer: Poverty and Decision-Making (in English). Registration recommended. Q&A included.
Inequality and poverty are among today’s most pressing global issues. Why is escaping poverty so difficult? Does financial scarcity create a mental burden that reduces productivity, focus, and patience?
