Stephanie is an empirical macroeconomist who joined CERGE-EI as Assistant Professor in September 2025. She completed her PhD at the Free University of Berlin in 2023 and was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bonn. Her research focuses on fiscal and monetary policy, inequality, and climate economics. She develops econometric methods and collects historical data to study these questions from a long-run perspective. Her work examines for instance how economic shocks affect different income groups, how natural disasters impact financial stability, and how wealth inequality has evolved over centuries.
