Title: "Risk Aversion in Information Cascades"
Abstract: "This research project is two-fold and contains a modification of classical information cascades models (Banerjee, 1992; Bikhchandani et al., 1992), where asymmetry of risk for the options and heterogeneity of risk preferences for the agents are introduced, and a laboratory economic experiment that is aimed at testing the predictions of the theoretical model. During the seminar, I will present the results from the pilot experiment on how heterogeneity of risk preferences influences social learning. I will start with a brief review of theoretical results and then will talk in detail about the pilot experiment design, its preliminary results, and plans for the main experiment."
